Obituary of Christine M. Andersen

Christine M. (Ireland) Andersen, wife of the late Kenneth B. Andersen, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Beverley, England on August 31, 1932, daughter of James A. and Elsie M. Ireland, she moved to Beverly, Mass. in 1950. At one time she worked for the United Shoe Machinery Corp. and also as a crossing guard for the city of Beverly school department. Over the years she enjoyed horseback riding, tennis, bowling and knitting. She also enjoyed the company of her family and many close friends. Chris is survived by her daughter, Susan Lohnes and her husband, David, two sons, Kenneth Andersen and Glenn Andersen and his wife, Jennifer, and daughter-in-law Susan Andersen, all of Beverly; eight grandchildren, Kristen Tarabelsi and her husband, Lucien, of Watertown, Andrea Paskievich and her husband, Stephen, of Reading, Amn. Jeffrey Lohnes and his wife, Lisa, of Honolulu, Hawaii, Elizabeth Green and her husband, Christopher, of Lynn, and Allison, Timothy, Michael and Jack Andersen of Beverly; four great-grandsons; a sister, Audrey Burford of California; a brother, Dennis Ireland of Willerby, England; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Theriault of Beverly and Marilyn Trefrey of Danvers; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Irene Wiles of New Zealand. A memorial service will be held at Campbell | Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location) on Thursday, February 4 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
