Obituary of Charles Thompson

Reeves PulleyCOLUMBUS, Ind. -- Mr. Charles O. Thompson of Columbus, Ind., formerly of Lakeland, died of cancer Thursday (Dec. 4, 2003) at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was 87.Born in Columbus, Ind., on Dec. 4, 1916, he lived in Lakeland before returning to Columbus. He was a retired supervisor for Reeves Pulley of 40 years. He was a charter member of Berean Bible Church in Columbus and Heritage Baptist Church in Lakeland.Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary K. He is survived by his son, Dr. Joe D. Thompson, Los Alamos, N.M.; daughter, Becky Yates, Norman, Ind.; brother, Robert Thompson, Columbus; sister, Ruth Cox, Columbus; four grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel, 25th Street, Columbus. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made to Berean Bible Church in Columbus.
