April 20, 2004 Charles R. Thompson, 54, of East Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at home. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa High School and served with the US Army. He was Head Bus Mechanic for the Jamesville-DeWittSchool District for 34 years and was Past Commander and Life Member of the Simon-Parise VFW Post 9596. Survivors: his wife of 30 years, Brenda; three sons, Jeffrey of Eastwood, Michael and Kenneth, both of E. Syracuse; parents, Charles and Doris Thompson of E. Syracuse; a sister, Sharon Casion of Kirkville; a brother, David Thompson of Syracuse; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Russell H. Schepp & Son Funeral Home. Burial, Kirkville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 109 East Ave., Minoa. Contributions: The Capt.
