ANDREWS Charles Frederick Charlie passed away on June 24, 2009, at Vancouver General Hospital. He is survived by his daughter, Beverley of Vancouver, cousins in England and many nieces and nephews. Charlie was born on April 3, 1919 and he grew up in Enderby. He served overseas with the Forestry Corps before becoming a pilot with the R.A.F. and the R.C.A.F. Charlie worked for the Vancouver Parks Board and has groomed and built many of the city's parks and beaches. In later years, as a member of the Operating Engineers, he worked on many construction projects and at the Mica Dam. Charlie retired to Burnaby and he will be missed by his friends at bridge games and the coffee group at The Bay. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
