Obituary of Cecile McDonald

McDONALD--Cecile P., known to her friends and family as "CeCe" died on September 13. A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, she was 84 years old. Until the time of her death CeCe was an active Senior Paralegal at the New York law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. She was with the firm for over 50 years. CeCe was predeceased by her devoted husband, James "Big Jim", and her brother, Francis "Buddy" Donovan. She is survived by her son, James W. McDonald Jr., his wife, Linda Cassano, and grandson, Anthony James "Tony". Cece is also survived by her beloved sister, Jane Barbara, and numerous nieces and nephews and their spouses and children all of whom were devoted to her. She was also beloved by her many friends, young and old. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, 7-9pm and Thursday, 3-5 and 7-9pm at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Ave. at 81st Street. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, 10am at St. Francis DeSales, 96th Street and Lexington Ave. Interment to follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Burn Unit at Weil Cornell Medical Center of New York Presbyterian Hospital.
