Obituary of Charlynne-Elizabeth Raymond


CHARLYNNE ELIZABETH RAYMOND - COLCHESTER - Charlynne Elizabeth Raymond, 66, of Overlake Drive, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, in the Vermont Respite House in Williston. She had been in ill health for 18 years. Born on Oct. 17, 1948, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Donald Edward Larrow and Florence Blanche Duchaine. She attended Cathedral Grammar School and graduated from Mount St. Mary's Academy both in Burlington. On Aug. 5, 1983, Charlynne married Edmond R. Raymond in St. Lawrence Church in Essex Junction. They made their home in Colchester. Charlynne had worked for the General Electric Company in the Armament Division in Burlington as a clerical and data administrator. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Colchester. She enjoyed crafts, needlepoint, and her home. Survivors include her husband, Edmond R. Raymond of Colchester; two sisters, Kathy Merchant and her husband, Terry of Colchester, and Marie Sturgis and her husband, Arthur of Foxboro, Mass.; and nieces and nephews. Her parents predeceased her. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Colchester. Later interment will be in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Websterville. The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, is assisting the family with arrangements. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Dr., Williston, VT 05495.
