He graduated from Albany High School, attended Sienna College, and graduated from the Aero Industries Tech Institute in California. While serving in the Army Air Corps in WWII in the Pacific Theater, he married the love of his life, Marion Pfohl. They lived in Williamsville, NY and he worked as an aeronautical engineer for Bell Aerospace Industries and further obtained a degree in Business Administration from the University of Buffalo. A resident of Fort Myers for 29 years, he was active in Saint Cecilia's Church as an usher, the Knights of Columbus and served as past president of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He enjoyed fishing, boating and golfing. He leaves his wife, Marion of 67 years, three sons, Douglas (Anita) and Thomas (Inez) of Fort Myers, Stuart (Debra) of Williamsville, NY and five grandchildren.A memorial Mass will be held Thursday November 4 at 10:00 am at St Cecilia Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Cecilia's church.
