Obituary of Betty-Fay-Giddens Adams

ADAMS Betty Fay Giddens Adams, 70, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2004. Mrs. Adams taught in public schools for over 40 years, 35 years in Jacksonville and most recently at Lake Lucina Elementary School. She was a member of the Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church and also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an Honorary Teacher's Society. Mrs. Adams also enjoyed her work as a volunteer at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Arnold Adams; a daughter, Dawn (David) Gray; one granddaughter, Hannah Lee Gray and a brother, Bill Giddens. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Pope and Dr. Kenneth Meyers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. The family will also receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund.
