McCARTHY, Bernard JohnMarch 23, 1943 - Calgary, ABNovember 8, 2013 - Irricana, ABBernard McCarthy of Irricana, AB passed away at home on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the age of 70 years. Bernard is survived by his children and their spouses, Kevin McCarthy, Maureen and Ken Schnirer, Sean and Cory McCarthy, Sheila McCarthy, Christine and Wade White, Shannon McCarthy, James and Tamara McCarthy; grandchildren Seth, Kylie, Owen, Alena and Madeline; brothers and spouses, Pat and Gene, Dennis and Bonny, Phillip and Sigrun; sisters and spouses, Theresa and George Battye, Ellen DeFraine, Peggy Clarkson, Francis Wright, Beatrice and Bernard Cissell. Bernard was predeceased by his wife Pauline; parents Henry and Mary; brother Michael; sister Catherine; brothers- in-law Reg Clarkson, Grant DeFraine, Nikki Schmaltz; sister-in-law Dolores. Bernard loved his children and was a proud father and farmer. His generous spirit and sense of humor were larger than life. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
