Obituary of Barbara-W. Holmes

HOLMES Barbara W. Holmes, age 91 of Stratford, died November 9, 2009. She was very active in the Stratford community, including the church choir and bell choir and as president of the Housatonic G.S. council of which she was a member for 70 years. She is survived by her loving husband Russell of 68 years; her seven children, Dorothy and Walt, Barbara and Alan, Russell and Helen, Anne and Brian, Gerald and Mary, Margie and Glenn, and Scott and Yvonne; 13 talented grandchildren; and 12 amazing great-grandchildren. Nana was proud of her clan. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday November 15, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the First Congregational Church of Stratford, 2301 Main St. Stratford with the Rev.
