Obituary of Barbara-M. Pineau

PINEAU Barbara M. Pineau, age 68, of Fairfield, beloved wife of John R. Pineau, Jr., passed away peacefully Monday, March 31, 2008 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in New York, N.Y., the daughter of the late Wallace and Louise Mason, she had been a Fairfield resident for over 43 years. She worked as a home health aid prior to her retirement. Barbara will be fondly remembered as a loving wife and a devoted mother. She loved to cook and spending time with her family and her two beloved Pekingese dogs, Soo ling and Zoe. Survivors in addition to her loving husband John include a sister, Vera Bowkley of Illinois; a brother-in-law, Robert Pineau and his wife Eileen of Clermont, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Carroll of Branford and Linda Kabelis of Oakdale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her cherished son, John R. Pineua, III and a sister, Pauline Lynch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe.
