Obituary of Barbara-Jean Luke

LUKE Barbara Jean (Grier) Luke, 64, died Sunday, April 6, 2003. She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and was a member of First Baptist Church Jacksonville. She was lovingly known as Mimiä many children whom she cared for throughout the years. Her father, Doyle E. Grier; sister, Jeannette Boree; and brother, Vernon Griffin, preceded her in death. A much beloved wife, daughter and sister, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bennie H. Luke; mother, Corrine Grier; brother, Edward Griffin (Eva); sisters, Carolyn Register (Ronnie) and Ouida Williams (Lindsey); sister-in-law, Jane Baker (Jimmy); brother-in-law, George Luke (Ann); and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9 at 10 am in the chapel of TOWN & COUNTRY FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Blvd. with interment following in Riverside Memorial Park.
