Obituary of Arthur-S. Harrison


Arthur S. Harrison, 80     PORTLAND - Arthur S. Harrison, 80, formerly of Westbrook and Sebago Lake, died Tuesday Oct. 25, 2005 at his residence.     He was born in Gorham, a son of Herbert and Doris Shaw Harrison. He was raised and educated in Gorham.     Arthur had been employed for over 30 years for Diamond Automation Co. of South Portland.     He was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Westbrook, a member of the Kora Temple Shrine, the Harmony Lodge of Masons and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a private pilot, with commercial and instrument ratings, a member of the Civil Air Patrol and a member of the Bald Eagles Flying Club.     His wife Eleanor Woodis Harrison died in August of 2002. He was also predeceased by a son, Danny in 1984.     He is survived by a son, David Harrison of South Portland; two daughters, Dianne Charest and Kimberly Pierce, both of Westbrook; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Harrison of Cousins Island; and a sister, Barbara Kennie of North Windham.     Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home, Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.         In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to:    The Shriners Hospital for Children    51 Blossom St.    Boston, MA. 02114-2699    Attn: Donations    Arthur S.
