<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Arthur Edwin Mack LEXINGTON - Arthur Edwin Mack, 87, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 29, 2014, at St. Stephen&#x27;s Lutheran Church with a private burial prior to the service. The Rev Dr. Dennis Bolton and Rev. Dr. Pat Riddle will conduct the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Mack was born June 17, 1927, in Columbia, SC. He was a son of the late Elias S. Mack, Sr. and Cora Delle Parker. He was a lifelong member of St. Stephen&#x27;s Lutheran Church and the Men&#x27;s Sunday School Class. Mr. Mack is survived by daughters, Kay Berry (Jimmy) and Rosanne Presto (Norman) both of Lexington; grandchildren, Allison Pellet (John) and soon to be great-grandbaby boy/girl Pellet of Leesburg, VA, and Dillon Presto of Lexington; sisters, Olga Renard and Carol Pellerin of Lexington; loving nephew, Bryan Drafts of Columbia; special friend, Nancy Harmon of Lexington; surrogate daughter, Kathy Hinkle of Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Mack and his late brother, Eli Jr., owned Mack&#x27;s Cash and Carry in Lexington for 40 years. Mr. Mack felt like he was the richest man born because of his love for God, family and friends. He often said &#x22;I am the luckiest man on earth.&#x22; He was a simple man with love of Big Band music and read his daily Scriptures. A true son of God he loved his late wife, Annie Laurie, children and grandchildren more than life itself. Mr. Mack was a graduate of Lexington High School in 1945 where he was recruited by the Philadelphia Phillies to play baseball, served our country in the U.S. Navy and later attended Clemson College. The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Extended Care, Compassionate Care Hospice and special longtime friends L.B. Davis, D. Murray Price and Redd Reynolds. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Stephen&#x27;s Lutheran Building Fund, 119 N.
