Obituary of Anna-Matilda Peterson


PETERSON _ Anna Matilda Born in Sundom, Finland March 3, 1906, passed away at home March 4, 2007, one day after celebrating her 101st birthday. Predeased by husband Charles, son Melvin and daughter Doris. Lovingly remembered by daughter Annabelle Kergan; daughter-in-law Jackie Peterson; grandsons Steven Peterson, Todd Kergan (Angela); grandaughters Kim Gaucher (Russ), Michelle Kienzle (Richard); great-grandchildren Blake, Jade, Emma, Ella, Megan, Linden and relatives in Canada, USA, Finland and Sweden. She was a charter member of the Order of Runeberg for 82 years, an avid gardener, cook, seamstress, hostess, a truly amazing person. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who new her. A special thanks to the entire care team that helped make it possible for Anna to remain at home. A celebration of her life will be held at the Emmaus Lutheran Church, 6344 Sperling Ave., Burnaby, BC. on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow.
