Anita I. BabineauLoving wife, mother, grandmother, sister; 77 FITCHBURG -- Anita I. (Testa) Babineau, 77, of Fitchburg, died Saturday morning, March 23, 2013, in her home surrounded by her loving family.Anita was born in Fitchburg, on Jan. 19, 1936, a daughter of the late John D. and Irene D. (Percival) Testa, and has lived here all of her life.Anita spent most of her life working in food service. She was the kitchen manager at the former Mariner Health Care Facility in Fitchburg, and prior to that she managed the kitchens at St. Anthony's School and St. Joseph's School. Many years ago as a young woman, she worked at Antwelt Shoe Company.She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Parish where she was very active working the Church Bazaars. She also was a member of the St. Joseph's School P.T.A. where she was always there to help out the children. Anita loved to play Bingo, and take trips to the casino where she loved to play the slot machines.Her true love was for her family whom she cherished spending time with especially during the holidays.She leaves her husband of 56 years, David Babineau of Fitchburg; two sons, David Babineau and his wife, Karen, and Alan Babineau; three daughters, Gail Bedard and her husband, Buddy, Carol Blanchard and her companion, Mike Natturno, and Paula Veilleux and her husband, Allain; six brothers, Robert Testa, Arthur Testa, Alfred Testa, Donald Testa, Richard Testa and James Testa; two sisters, Rita Dupuis and Linda Hebert; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.She is predeceased by a brother, John "Butch" Testa, and a sister, Patricia Testa.BABINEAU -- Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 27, at 11 AM in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday morning prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM.
