Obituary of Anita Coutu

GAGNON-PILON, Anita (Coutu) - In loving memory of Anita (Coutu) Gagnon-Pilon 74 years, who passed away Thursday morning, March 16th, 2006 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph Health Center. Beloved wife of Gerry Gagnon and Hector Chief Pilon both predeceased. Loving daughter of Hector and Corrine Coutu both predeceased. Loving mother of Barry Gagnon (wife Terri), Don Gagnon (wife Lee), Brian Gagnon (partner Monique) and Susan (husband Bruno Plante predeceased) all of Sudbury, predeceased by Mark. Dear mother-in-law of Christine. Cherished grandmother of Chad, David, Corrie, Devyn, Brittany, Marco and Aline. Dear sister of Ludger Bi (partner Romeo) of Sudbury, Armand Frenchy predeceased (wife Lee of Sudbury), predeceased by Pauline (husband Gabe Tarini). Sadly missed by nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends. Born in Sudbury, she worked for many years at the Chamber of Commerce License Bureau. She enjoyed Fastball, and in earlier years was a great cathcher, she was an avid bowler and a talented singer, especially the blues, with the big bands. Anita was the life of the party and loved to sing with her son's band, Butler. She was always ready to go play bingo and she was always lucky. Anita will miss her beer and clamato juice, watching old movies and her space channel. One look from her big brown eyes and you knew what she was thinking. In her youth she was a great speed skater and swimmer. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Mehta and the staff at the Dialysis Unit for their care and kindness, you gave Anita 5 wonderful fulfilling years. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Monday, March 20th, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Interment in the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the Kidney Foundation appreciated.
