Obituary of Andre-Louis Carrier

Andre Louis Carrier , of Hearst - Date of Death: May 10th, 2005 - The memorial service for Hearst resident André Louis Carrier, 63, of Front St. is to be held today (May 18), 2005. He died at his home from a heart attack, May 10. Born June 7, 1941 in Jogues, he operated the former Avenue Café billiards hall on Tenth St. in Hearst and later the downtown Star Taxi. He also drove cabs for Hearst Taxi. Predeceased by his father Victorien Carrier in 2002, a sister Germaine Carrier in 1999 and brother-in-law Raymond Bérubé, all of Hearst, he leaves his son Dany Carrier of Hallébourg. Also surviving are his sisters Hélène (Bob) of Burlington and Denise Carrier of Iroquois Falls, brothers Robert (Lise) of Jogues, Germain of Hearst, Victor (Cindy) of Oakville, and Denis (Monique) Carrier of Hearst, and a grandson Danick Carrier of Hallébourg. Cremation was done at Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson. Rev. Rémi Lessard is to direct the 4:15 p.m. service at Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral. Interment will take place at Sts-Martyrs-canadiens Cemetery in Jogues. Service arrangements are being made by the Salon Lafrance Funeral Home. Commemorative donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
