Obituary of Alfred-Wayne Bailey

April 19, 1933 - December 19, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne at St. Paul's Hospital. He courageously fought Prostate and Colon Cancer but it was Kidney Failure that was his biggest challenge. Wayne was born in Regina, Sask. and moved to Vancouver when he was ten. In 1958 he married Dorothy Jutsum and they lived in Kitsilano for the last 53 years. Wayne worked at CP Air/Canadian Airlines for 33 years and was a proud member of the IAM Lodge 764. As he traveled the world he bought elephants for his vast collection! He was an avid ten-pin bowler on various leagues for 48 years. He also enjoyed curling, stamp and coin collecting. Wayne is survived by Dorothy and their son Keith (Marietta) and daughter Janice (Tim) and grandchildren Karlyn, Hailey, Matthew and Keane. He is also survived by his siblings Lloyd, Noreen, Grant (Donna), Karen (Tom), Nola, Deanna (Bruce), Bruce (Maureen) and several nieces and nephews and their extended families. He is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Greta, two sisters and their husbands Doris (Jim) and Louella (Bob/Ray). The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul's Hospital, especially the Renal Department. There will be a private funeral service and in lieu of flowers donations to the Kidney Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
