Obituary of Alfred Bennard

BENNARD Mr. Alfred (Fred) Bennard, age 85, of Commodore, died Thursday at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Edith Mulholland Bennard. Born in Shelton on October 1, 1925, son of the late John C. and Angelina Biasucci Bennard. A communicant of the Church of the Assumption, graduate of Shelton High School a former member of the Slovak and Norwood Clubs. He was a longtime employee of Weisz Pontiac of Ansonia. Survivors include three sons, Carl Bennard of Ansonia, Robert Bennard and his wife, Nancy of Beacon Falls and Mark Bennard of Rochester, NY.; a sister, Evelyn Boath of Ansonia; and two grandchildren, Rachel Bennard and Zachary Bennard. She was predeceased by five sisters, Anna Rafalowski, Bridget Gervasoni, Emily Demola, Elizabeth Williams and Dorothy Heavens; and three brothers, Anthony Bennard, Pasquale Bennard and John Bennard. His funeral services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N. Cliff Street, Ansonia to the Church of the Assumption for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held in the future at Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 8 to 9 a.m.
