March 21, 1917 – December 24, 2013It is with great sadness that the family of Adele Bouchard announces her passing on the evening of December 24, 2013, at the age of 96 years.Adele grew up on a farm near Riviere Qui Barre and continued to farm in the area throughout her adult life. She was a passionate and avid gardener and artist who was well-known for her ability to grow and fix anything!She was predeceased by her husband Henry Schafers in January 1957 as well as two grandsons: Lonnie Schafers and Darren Schafers.Adele, although predeceased by her second husband, Rene Bouchard, will forever be remembered by her children: Adeline (Don), Herman (Marion), Louise and Irene (Dave); and by her surviving sisters and brother: Theresa (Harvey), Virginia, and Harold (Audrey). Her 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren will keep her in their thoughts and prayers as well.A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Chapel, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert with Father Andrzej Stendzina presiding.Interment to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, 14611 Mark Messier Trail, Edmonton.Memorial donations in memory of Adele can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985-124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T5M 0H9.To send condolences please visit: www.connelly-mckinley.comConnelly-McKinley Funeral Home~ST.
