McDONELL, Adair Joseph (Mac) - Passed away surrounded by his family at Cummer Lodge on Monday, December 2, 2013. During his years and over our good earth he was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2003 and is survived by his daughter Kimberly and his granddaughter Lisa. During his 40 year aviation career he served a total of 15 years in the RAF, RCAF, USAF and 25 years in DOT/ Transport Canada as a Civil Aviation Inspector/Aircraft Accident Investigator. In retirement he was an active volunteer with the MS Society and the Alzheimer Society in Toronto. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for 46 years, serving as Founding Grand Knight of West Ottawa Council 5717 and was later Grand Knight of St. Francis Council 5080, Don Mills and Good Shepherd Council 8340. Mac became District Deputy of Toronto (District 5) and later District Deputy of North York (District 77). As a Fourth Degree Knight he was Navigator of Cardinal McGuigan Assembly, Toronto and later was Admiral of Bishop Greco Assembly, Scarborough. He will be greatly missed by his community and family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 6th at 9 a.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd, 21 Simonston Blvd., Thornhill. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Knights of Columbus, the MS Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Condolences www.rskane.ca
