Pioneers of the Vesina family

François Vézina was baptized on January 20th, 1642 in Ste-Marguerite, La Rochelle, France. Son of Jacques Vezina and Marie Boisdon, he married Marie-Jeanne Marier, daughter of Denis and Madeleine Bienvenu, on October 29, 1670 in Château-Richer. From this union were born eight children. He arrived in the country in 1659 with his parents, and obtained in 1666 a land of 4 acres front. In 1681, he owns two heads of cattle and 15 acres of land. The date of his death, at the end of 1700, remains unknown.
