Pioneers of the Lacelle family

JACQUES LACELLE WAS THE FIRST ANCESTOR TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA IN 1695. He originated from Savigny-sur-Orge, diocese of Paris, province of l'Ile-de-France. He immigrated to Canada in 1695 and married ANGELIQUE GIBAULT August 8 1698 in Montreal. They had 6 children; 3 boys and 3 girls. Jacques' descendants were principally in the regions of Montreal,Ste-Marthe, St-Benoit and in Ontario.
