Pioneers of the Dupuis-Dupuy family

François Dupuis-Dupuy born about 1637 in Saint-Laurent-sur-Gorre, Limousin, France, son of François Dupuis-Dupuy and Marguerite Renaud, marries Georgette Richer-Richard, daughter of Jean and Léonarde Bornais, on October 6, 1670 in Quebec. They have 7 children. He first settles in the seigneury of Maure, then in 1681, settles in Laprairie, where he owns a site 30 feet wide on rue St-Ignace. He exchanges this location in July 1714 with François Monet, for a 20 square foot house. He dies after November 18, 1715.
