En 1749, il confie au maçon Charles Guilbault la construction d'une nouvelle église, qui fut terminée en 1752. En 1756, il est nommé économe de l'église Notre-Dame à Montréal. Place Guillaume-Chambon, désignation le 21-04-1953.
