Pioneers of the Maisonneuve family

Pierre Maisonneuve was born around 1668 in Notre-Dame-de-la-Cour, Tarn-et-Garonne, France. Son of Jean Maisonneuve and Françoise Marier, he married Anne Grenier, daughter of Jean and Francoise Feuilleton, on November 17, 1698 in Montreal. The couple had nine children. Widower, he married the widow of Marin Thibi, Marie Lamothe, daughter of Elie Lamothe and Genevieve Levert, on August 2, 1716 in Saint-François-de-Sales, Ile Jesus. The couple had nine children. Soldier of the company Bergeres, he resides on Île-Jésus and in Terrebonne, where he died on March 21, 1740. He was buried the next day.
