Charles Turgeon was baptized on August 4, 1621 in Saint-Jean de Mortagne in Perche, Orne in France. Son of Jean Turgeon and Sébastienne Liger, he married Pasquière Lefebvre, of unknown parentage, around 1649 in France. They had 10 children. He arrived in Canada shortly after 1662 and settled at Quebec. In 1681 he owned 2 guns, 5 horned beasts, and 12 acres of land. He returned to France in 1693. The exact date of his death, which occurred before 14 Aug. 1704 in France, remains unknown.
