Nicolas Marion dit Lafontaine is born about 1641 in Dragueville, Normandie, France. He marries Marie Guéric in France, about 1655. From their union, 4 children are born: Georges, Guillaume, Élisabeth and Anne. He settles in Quebec City in 1676. He is a merchant. In 1681, he lives in Basse-Ville (downtown) of Quebec City, and owns: a piece of land in Lauzon, 1 gun, and 5 cattle heads. He dies in the last days of February 1700 in Quebec City.
