Pioneers of the Lecompte family

Pierre Lecompte-Lafleur was born around 1680 in St-Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, France. Son of Pierre Lecompte and Marguerite Prince-Leprince, he married Suzanne Capel-Cape-Desjardins-Dujardin, daughter of Jean and Madeleine Aubry, on September 3rd, 1708 in Montreal. From this union were born 10 children. The exact date of his arrival in Canada still remains unknown, as well as for the major part of his life. He settled down in Montreal, in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue and St-Laurent. He died on May 17th, 1759 and was buried the next day at The Cedars.

Pierre Lecompte-Lafleur est né vers 1680 à St-Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, France. Fils de Pierre Lecompte et de Marguerite Prince-Leprince, il épouse Suzanne Capel-Cape-Desjardins-Dujardin, fille de Jean et de Madeleine Aubry, le 3 septembre 1708 à Montréal. De cette union naissent 10 enfants. Ce pionnier, dont on ne connait pas la date d’arrivée au pays, réside à Montréal, à Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue et à St-Laurent. On sait très peu de choses de sa vie. Il décède le 17 mai 1759 et est inhumé le lendemain à Les Cèdres.
