Léger Bray-Labonté was born around 1673 in France in a place still unknown. Son of Pierre Bray and Jeanne Codère, he married Marguerite Colin, daughter of Mathurin and Jacqueline Labbé, around 1700, in an undetermined place in Quebec. The couple have 9 children. Arrived as a soldier, he was in Boucherville in 1698. He settled in Longueuil in 1702. Having become a widower, he married Marie-Anne Bourhis-Boulerice, daughter of Jean-Baptiste and Marie Demers, on December 5, 1718 in Longueuil. This couple had 5 children. When the latter was born in 1723, his wife died. He died on November 27, 1744 and was buried the next day in Longueuil.
