Pioneers of the Belland family

Roch Béland-Daraîche would be the son of Joseph and Angélique Bonnodeau. His first ancestor in America would be Jean Béland. The latter was born in 1655 in Rouen, son of Jean and Ysabeau Carren. He was in New France in 1667 and married Geneviève Gandin in 1677 in Charlesbourg. They had 6 children, most of them in Neuville. His wife was a widow and already had 5 children. Their dwelling was of little value. From 1709, their son, Jean, has been responsible for housing, and feeding his father and mother. He died in Neuville in 1731.
