Trois frères et une soeur sont nés et baptisés à Plédéliac (St-Malo), sous Le Marchand : Charles, 01-06-1701 ; Jeanne, 16-02-1703 ; Julien, 14-09-1705 et Jean, 04-12-1707. Ses parents sont nés à Plédéliac, et leur mariage non filiatif fut célébré dans la chapelle du St-Esprit (St-Esprit-des-Bois).
