YVON TESSIER de Daytona Beach, Floride, est décédé le 11 octobre 2005, à l'âge de 64 ans et 8 mois. Prédécédé par ses parents Simonne Bénard et Philippe Tessier, ainsi qu'un frère, Gilles, il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Jo-Anna; 4 filles: Joanne Tessier (Mi), Rita Bloomfield (Mi), Nancy Fronrath (Fl) et Cara Collins (Fl); 3 fils: Don Tessier (Mi), David Armitage (Co), Christian Collins (Fl); 2 frères: Jean-Robert (Fl), Marcel d'Ottawa; 2 soeurs: Carmen d'Ottawa, Lise de Prévost ainsi que 11 petits-enfants et 2 arrière-petits-enfants, plusieurs neveux et nièces. Une messe sera célébrée le dimanche 16 octobre à 9h30, en l'église St-Louis-Marie-de-Montfort, Ottawa. Paru le 2005/10/15 dans Le Droit ZGES5542 Yvon (Ivan) Tessier, 65, Marina Point Drive, Daytona Beach, passed away suddenly at his home Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette St. (parallel to US 1) Port Orange. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Tessier was born March 25, 1940, in Wrightville, Quebec, Canada, to Phillippe and Simone (Benard) Tessier. He came to the United States when he was 18 years old, moving to the Detroit, Mich., area. Barely speaking English upon arrival, he eventually owned not only Tessier Pontiac GMC but other auto dealerships in the southeast Detroit area. He was also past president of the Detroit Area Automobile Dealers Association. He retired in 1987, turning his interests toward purchasing and selling motor yachts. His captain's license let him enjoy his love of boats and water as he made many trips per year to transport the yachts from the Midwest to the Atlantic and back again. A down to earth person with an amazingly positive attitude and a love of life, people and dogs, Mr. Tessier will live on forever in the hearts of his survivors which include his wife of 11 wonderful years, JoAnna; three sons, David Armitage, (CO), Don Tessier (MI), Christian Collins (FL); four daughters: Rita Bloomfield (MI), Nancy Fronrath (FL), Joanne Tessier (MI), and Cara Collins (FL). He is further survived by two brothers, Robert (FL) and Marcel (Canada) Tessier, as well as two sisters, Carmen Tessier and Lise Gautier both of Canada. He has 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by his brother, Gille, son-in-law Dennis Fronrath and grandson Trent Fronrath.
