Obituary of Walter Marks

MARKS, Walter HughJune 14, 1924 - July 19, 2015With sadness we announce the quiet passing of our dear husband, father and friend. Born in Poland but spent most of his life in Winnipeg and Burnaby. Graduated as an Electrical Engineer from UBC in 1946 and worked 37 years for BC Hydro. He was the Founding President of BC Hydro Ski Chalet in Whistler which is now called the Fireside Lodge. Walter was a kind, gentle, hard-working, dedicated, talented man. We have lovely memories of happy days skiing, hiking, golfing and of times spent in Europe and at Maui. Survived by his loving wife and soul mate Karin of 42 years, children Ronald and Cynthia, and many loving and dear friends. Celebration of Life to be announced. Donations to Charity of your choice.
