Obituary of Violet-Theresa Narduzzi

CICCI, Violet Theresa (nee Narduzzi) - 1922-2008 - Passed away on Wednesday July 16, 2008 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 85. Born September 14, 1922 in San Daniella del Fruili, Italia. She immigrated to Canada with her parents, Angelina and Quintino Narduzzi (both predeceased) as a toddler. She enjoyed volunteering and socializing in the community, having been the President of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Dante Club for many years. Also, her auxiliary work at the Timmins and District Hospital and the Golden Manor provided years of new relationships and rewarding accomplishments. Her grandchildren were her greatest source of joy. They all looked forward to spending time together during the summer months at Nonne and Nonno's camp. Playing cards kept them all busy during rainy days and would become very competitive. Violet is predeceased by her husband Michael (1994). She is survived by her children Bob (wife Ping) and Dolores (husband Fred Fortier); her grandchildren Michael, Danielle and Pearl Cicci, Carter, Krista and Andrew Fortier; her great- grandchildren Andrew, Jacob, Keenan and Chianti. She is also survived by her sister Elca (husband Mel Rennick) and her brother Euro, plus many devoted nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Alma and her brother-in-law Brundy. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday July 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
