Victor Webster 7 septembre 1929 - 8 avril 2015 It is with great sadness that the family of Victor Webster announce his passing at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Perth-Andover, N.B. Victor was born on September 7, 1929 at Belyea’s Cove, New Brunswick. He was one of 9 children of Rupert and Edna (Beale) Webster. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (McNally) Webster his son, V. Lynn (Cheryl) Webster, his daughter Dawn Marie (Brian) Boyer, 4 grandchildren, Dallas (Kate) Boyer, Bailey Webster (Jose Luis Duenas), Breanne (Jason) Gibbens and Dylan (Stacey) Webster; 5 great grandchildren, Colin, Emma, Jacob, Alejandro and Jaxson. Victor’s siblings – Raymond (Kathleen) Webster, Davene Nice, Norman (Marie) Webster, Norma Mullaly (Wayne Smith), Loretta (Art) Hanson, Suzanne (Ron) Webster and Marlene Webster as well as many nieces and nephews. Victor was predeceased by his parents, Rupert and Edna Webster and one brother, Frank Webster. He was also close to Shirley’s family and was predeceased by her parents, Burleigh and Doris McNally as well as all her siblings; Reta and Carroll Smith, Pearl Everett, Douglas McNally and Betty and Jim Harris. Victor graduated from Sackville High School and Teacher’s College and received his Bachelor of Arts from UNB, Fredericton and his Bachelor of Education from St. Thomas University. He taught for 35 years in New Brunswick – all in Victoria County. He began in Aroostook – where he met his one and only – Shirley. They married and moved to New Denmark where he was principal and where they lived for 7 years. Vic and Shirley and by then – Lynn and Dawn moved to Perth where he was principal of Perth Regional High School and Perth Junior High School. He spent his last years teaching math at Southern Victoria High School. Victor was made a life member of Electa Chapter # 9, Order of the Eastern Star, and he was a member of Benjamin Lodge # 31, F & AM of the Masonic Lodge. Vic loved the Tobique and Birch Ridge and spent many enjoyable days hunting and fishing. He had his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. He loved to curl and he loved golfing. He was an avid card player; especially 45s and Bridge. He was an enthusiastic baseball fan – both the Red Sox and the Blue Jays. Victor loved his garden and always had great strawberries and raspberries. He and Shirley were long time members of the Antique Auto Club and travelled often with the group in their ’65 Mustang convertible. Vic and Shirley travelled across Canada and the United States in their fifth wheel and when they no longer travelled spent many happy summers at the ‘Cove’ on the Washademoak Lake. Victor was a devoted family man. He enjoyed his family and friends and spent many happy hours with those he knew and loved. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Friday 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2 pm from the Perth-Andover Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Frederick officiating. Interment will be in the Perth-Andover Baptist Cemetery at a later date. There will be a Masonic Memorial Service held at the funeral home on Friday at 7 pm. It will be immediately be followed by an Eastern Star Service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
