WALLINGFORD, Sidney Milton Sidney passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital at the age of 83. He was the son of George Emile Wallingford and his wife Irene (nee Vessot). He served 3 years in the Army Service Corps and later became a civil servant. He leaves 4 sisters, Lilian Pedley of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Emily Davis of Lethbridge, AB, Dorothy Allen of Ottawa, and Myrtle Burnell of Langley, BC. He is also survived by 3 younger brothers, Errol (Iris) of Sydenham, ON, Dr. Ronald Wallingford of Sudbury, and Richard of Warren, ON. There are many nieces and nephews who will mourn Uncle Sid who was an expert fisherman. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be in the chapel on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. James Cemetery, Aylmer, QC.
