Obituary of Ruth-Jean Marks

TASSIE, Ruth Jean (nee Marks) Passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario on June 24th in her 78th year. Ruth will be dearly missed as the beloved wife of Russell Tassie for almost 59 years, and as the loving mother of Cheryl (Phippard) and son-in-law Terry. Daughter of the late Jean and Eric Marks of Ottawa. Ruth leaves her brother Alfred Marks and his wife Margaret, sister-in-law Jean Salmon (Bernie) and was predeceased by brothers Bevis, Sherman and her sister Marge. Ruth will be lovingly missed by all of her friends, relatives, nieces and nephews and their families. The family will receive friends at Pine Hills Visitation Chapel and Reception Centre at 625 Birchmount Road (between Eglinton and St. Clair 416-267-8229) in Toronto from 11 a.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28th, 2004.
