Obituary of Raymond St-Cyr

Raymond St-Cyr died at the age of 70 in the comfort of his home in North Cobalt with his loving family at his side. Mr. St-Cyr was born October 9, 1934 in North Cobalt to Raymond St-Cyr Sr. and Anna Marcil. He worked for many years as a milkman for the local dairies and was a volunteer with the Bucke Township Fire Department. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, gardening and watching Hockey Night in Canada Saturday evenings and he loved time spent with his family and friends. Mr. St-Cyr was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Albert and Michel St-Cyr. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Audrey (née Malaison) whom he married April 23, 1955; his loving family: daughter-in-law Elisabeth, children Claudette St.-Cyr (and Jean) Trépannier, Aline (and Robert) Perron, Robert (and Francine) St-Cyr, Denis (and Diane) St. Cyr, Diane (and Pierre) Dufresne and Michelle Mélanson; 13 grandchildren; and his siblings Roland (and Léonard) Fleury, Claude (and Lucille) St-Cyr, Marcel (and Lina) St-Cyr, Réal (and Denise) St-Cyr and Denise (and Doug) Naykalyk; many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass was celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in North Cobalt on June 22 with Father Germain Turcotte, Father Richard Ngoy and Father Firmin Lafond officiating. Pallbearers were Luc St-Cyr, Jérémie Perron, Wayne Naykalyk, Stéphane Perron and Mathieu Dufresne. Interment followed at North Cobalt Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends attending came from the Tri-Town area, Hamilton, Ottawa, Montreal, Sudbury, Oshawa, Havelock, LaSarre, Québec and Toronto. Contributions to the CAT Scan Foundation, Camp Quality or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
