LAFOREST, Raymond Joseph The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Friday June 24th, 2005 at the age of 67 years. Son of the late Arthur and of the late Lucide (née Lalancette) Laforest. Dear brother of Roland of Westarm, Theresa Bryant (late Robert), Rita Maxwell (husband Warren) all of Sudbury and Noella Duncan (late Clifford) of Copper Cliff. Predeceased by his brother Joseph (wife Shirley of Sudbury). Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Ray started his electrical apprentiship with Laforest Electric in 1954. In 1963 he joined the firm and was manager and electrical estimator for the company. In 1975, he was forced to take a disability pension due to an accident. Ray lived with his parents until he took an apartment in 2001. He liked to spend time in West Arm on Lake Nipissing. Raymond enjoyed fishing and a good fish fry. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., E. (at Notre Dame), Sudbury, Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Bishop Roger Despatie Chapel of the Co-Operative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
