Obituary of Noel Raymond


RAYMOND, Noël - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Tuesday, July 11th, 2006 at the age of 71 years. Son of the late Jean-Baptiste and of the late Florida (née Tremblay) Raymond. Beloved husband of 46 years of Lucienne Raymond (née Denis) of Sudbury. Loving father of Jeannine Glen (Robert) of Wahnapitae, Michel Raymond (Tammy) of Sault-Ste- Marie, Ginette Meandro (Steve) of Sudbury and Normand Raymond of Pittsburgh, U.S.A. Dear brother of Evelyne Beaulieu (late Leo) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Jeannette Brunet (late Joseph), Lilliane Bodson, Isidore Raymond (Marie of Sudbury), Émile Raymond (Lily of Sudbury), Léon Raymond and Salomon Raymond. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Gilles Glen, Renelle Raymond, Cédéric Raymond and by his great-grandson Isaac Burton. Mr. Raymond was a retired miner with Falconbridge Mines Ltd. Noël, a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, was very active in his community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree, council 5005, St. Jacques, Hanmer for 42 years, a Boy Scout Leader and a ringette and hockey coach for many years. In his leisure time, Noël enjoyed playing bingo. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Friday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 15th, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in St-Dominique Church, Sudbury. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
