Obituary of Muriel H. Regan

Muriel H. Regan SO.WEYMOUTH Muriel H. (Donnelly) Regan of So. Weymouth passed away on September 14, 2009 to be with her beloved husband and best friend, the late Thomas J. Regan. She was 80 years old. Born in Boston, Muriel was a former secretary at the Stetson Shoe Factory and a longtime employee of the New England Telephone Company in Quincy. A resident of South Weymouth for over 40 years, Muriel was a former Girl Scout leader, CCD teacher and member of the Pond Plain Improvement Association. A lover of music, Muriel was blessed with a beautiful voice and sang at many of her family parties, including her daughters wedding. Survived by her son Stephen C. Regan and his wife Darlene of Hanson and Mary P. Conte and her husband Joseph of Hingham. Beloved Nana to Christopher and Katherine Regan of Hanson and Katelyn and Stephen Conte of Hingham. Sister of Lorraine and Dale Noland of So. Weymouth, Albert Donnelly of Braintree, Virginia and Gerald Donovan of Quincy, Alfreda Higgins of Holbrook, and Claire Donnelly of Framingham. Predeceased by her brothers Merlin J. Donnelly of Framingham and John Kenneth Donnelly. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Muriels greatest love in her life was her family. She was a devoted wife to Tom who she referred to as her boyfriend, to her children that she cherished and to her grandchildren that she adored. She was blessed in return because they loved her with all their hearts. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main St., (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.), Friday at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, So. Weymouth at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery,Weymouth.
