Obituary of Michael Minnehan


Michael J. Minnehan, 65, of Milford, MA died early Saturday morning (February 25, 2012) at the Boston Medical Center after an illness. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Bell) Minnehan. He was born in Lewiston, Maine the son of the late Joseph and the late Jane (Provencher) Minnehan and has resided in Milford, MA since 1976. He graduated from Lewiston, ME High School and was employed at the former Two Guys Department Store in Milford, MA. and by John Hancock Insurance Company and MetLife Insurance Company. He was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Milford, a member of the Old St. Marys Cemetery, past Vice-President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Blackstone, MA. Besides his wife of (35) years, he is survived by (1) son, Michael J. Minnehan Jr. and his wife, Melissa of Lewiston, ME., (3) grandchildren, Isaiah and Sierra Minnehan, and Derek Montminy all of Lewiston, ME.; (1) sister, Eileen Danforth of Lewiston, ME.; a brother-in-law, Brian P. Bell of Milford, MA.; (2) nieces; (2) very dear friends, Vincent and Giana Bucchino both of Mendon, MA. His funeral will be held from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home (www.edwardsmemorialfuneralhome.com) 44 Congress Street Milford, MA. on Friday morning (March 2 ) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12PM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church 19 Winter Street Milford, MA. Burial will follow in the Old St. Marys Cemetery Hamilton Street Milford, MA. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:30AM-11:30AM just prior to his funeral Mass.
