Obituary of Mary-F. Macpherson

CHAISSON, Mary F. CHAISSON, Mary F. - 86, Shiretown Nursing Home, formerly of Church Street Villa and Union Street, Pictou, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 13, 2008, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Lochaber, she was a daughter of the late Rod and Christine (Stewart) MacPherson. Mary liked to knit, hook rugs, and tend to her plants and enjoyed her grandchildren. Mary is survived by daughter, Tina (John Southwell) Glace Bay; sons, Jerry (Claudette), Pictou; Steve (Cecelia), Stellarton; Jimmy (Mary), Murray Road; Jack, Pictou; Lauchie (Judy), New Glasgow; and Lonnie (Gail), Pictou; 18 loving grandchildren; six loving great- grandchildren; brother, Rod (Dorothy), Greenfield; sisters-in-law, Eileen (Bert White), New Glasgow; Helen Chaisson, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James; son, William; sisters, Christine MacDonald, Claire Connors, Margaret Damery, Betty MacMillan; brothers, Lauchie, Duncan, Angus, Dougald. Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Stella Maris Parish Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
