Obituary of Mary Veronica Galvin

Milton Mary Veronica (Joyce) Galvin, a lifelong resident of Milton, died suddenly Wednesday April 23 at Milton Hospital. She was 82 years old. Born in Milton, Mrs. Galvin was employed by Sears Roebuck and John Hancock prior to her marriage. She was treasurer of the Daughters of Isabella. Beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Galvin. Loving mother of Patrick J. Galvin and his wife Patricia of Hingham, Michael F. Galvin and his wife Kara of Duxbury, James A. Galvin of Milton, Brian C. Galvin of Medford, Joyce M. Mackan and her husband Michael of Dorchester. Grandmother of Timothy, Jennifer, Sarah and Brendan Galvin. Sister of Theresa Moriarty of Tiverton, RI and the late Martin Joyce, Thomas Joyce and Coleman Joyce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary of The Hills Church, Milton, Tuesday April 29 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Monday 4-8 p.m. Interment Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation in Marys memory may be made to the Carmelite Monastery, 61 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Roxbury, MA 02119-3399.
