Obituary of Margaret O-Donnell

O'DONNELL, Sister Margaret (formerly Sr. Anselm) - Died tragically in a car accident on Saturday, August 9, 2008. She is the daughter of Elizabeth Mary Ashwell and Leo Melville O'Donnell. She is predeceased by her only sister Mary Anne and by her seven brothers, Leo, Francis, Maurice, Thomas, Basil, Joseph and Douglas. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews and close friends. Sister Margaret entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1942 and served in the ministry of education as both teacher and principal, as well as school librarian for more than forty years. Sr. Margaret then moved into caring for special needs students as well as spiritual care with the elderly. She was a friend and support to many of her Sisters in community. In 2003, she celebrated her 60th anniversary as a Sister of St. Joseph. Her wake will be held at St. Joseph's Convent, 3377 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, from 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 12th, with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 13th at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Richard McDonald, SJ. presiding, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. 11197539
