CAPRICCI, Lucienne 2009-07-18 Mrs. Lucienne (Lucy) Capricci, passed away peacefully Thursday July 16, 2009 at St. Joseph‘s Hospice, after a brief illness. Born May 29, 1920 in Mutrie Saskatchewan, to Alma and Aime Jacques, she spent her early years there and in Dauphin Manitoba. As an adult, she moved with her family to Thunder Bay where she met her husband Joseph Capricci, whom she married November 28, 1951. Her home and family were her priority and she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was an excellent baker. Later in life, both she and Joe became skilful Blackjack players and tremendously enjoyed outings to the local casino, Grand Portage and Hinckley. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Joe, sons Jerome and John, siblings Laurent, Wilfred, Simone, Fern. Yvette, Aime and Armand. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Arlene and partner Paul Jasiura, sisters-in-law Adeline Pugsley, Doreen Capricci, Joan Jacques and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 20, 2009 when friends and family will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick‘s Cathedral celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Blake Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph‘s Foundation, Hospice Unit, or St. Patrick‘s Cathedral. A tree will be planted in memory of Mrs. Lucienne Capricci in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 27, 2010.
