Obituary of Lorraine Barrette

SPANUL, Lorraine (nee Barrette) 75 Years, peacefully on February 7, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Late of Windsor. Beloved wife of the late William (July, 1994). Loving mother of Pamela Bruce and Sandra Strong, both of Windsor. Dear daughter of the late Homer and Pearl Barrette. Dear grandma to Tamara Bruce and husband Edward Amond; Laura Bruce; Bill Caverhill; and Kristie and husband Ian Sabga, all of Windsor. Great-grandma of Michael, Angela, Nicole and Declan. Dear sister of Bernice Logan, of Pembroke and the late Donald, Douglas and Vincent; and Lenore and Betty, formerly of California. Lorraine was the V.P. of Windsor Heat Treating Ltd., was an avid gardener and loved animals. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting Thursday, February 10, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh (735-2830) until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. Fr. Robert Couture officiating. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy a donation to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Lorraine Spanul in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 25, 2005 All are welcome. "The Lord is my light and my salvation."
