Obituary of Lillian-Jean Barrett


DUNNING, Lillian Jean (nee Barrett)- 1916- 2005 passed away quietly at Gilmore Lodge, Fort Erie on Monday, November 7, 2005 at the age of 89 years. Lillian was born in West Lorne, Ontario and she resided in Fort Erie for the last 72 years. Lillian was the dearly loved wife of the late Clayton Dunning (1984). Lillian will be dearly mourned by her son Gary and his wife Mae Dunning of Wellandport, and the late Linda Hilmayer (1995). She will be missed by her son-in-law Rudi Hilmayer. Lillian is the dear grandmother of Lisa and Jerry Madsen, Krista and Jay Thomerson, Kerilynn and Andy Bath and Lauralee Hilmayer and great grandchildren Clayton, Colin, Stephanie, Matthew and Amber-Lee, Lillian will also be sadly missed by her two brothers Jim and Evelyn Barrett and Don and Joan Barrett of Fort Erie, Ont. and her sister-in-law Anna Barrett of Port Colborne, Ont. Predeceased by her parents Ezekial and Mabel Barrett and a brother Geroge Barrett. Lillian was a devoted member of the Central Avenue United Church and a member of the U.C.W. Group 4 for many years. Friends were received at the FORT ERIE CHAPEL, of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES, 21 Wintemute St. Wednesday 6-9 p.m. and Thursday, November 10, 2005 1:00 p.m. until the Funeral Service time at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
